Dr. Mafruha Ferdous, Associate Professor, Department of English, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), AIUB, participated in the 14th European Conference on Arts & Humanities (ECAH2026), held from 9–13 July 2026 at the SOAS and UCL campuses in London, United Kingdom. The conference brought together scholars, researchers, and academics from across the globe to exchange ideas in the arts and humanities.

Dr. Ferdous presented a paper titled "Secular Salvation and Structural Power: Political Theology and the Ethics of Capitalism in Major Barbara." The paper examined the intersections of political theology and economic ethics in George Bernard Shaw's Major Barbara, contributing to ongoing interdisciplinary scholarship on literature, power, and capitalism.

Dr. Ferdous also attended paper and poster presentation sessions across the conference and engaged with fellow delegates, gaining valuable feedback and fostering academic connections for future collaborative research. Several researchers present at the conference expressed keen interest in the findings of the paper and invited Dr. Ferdous to consider submitting the work for publication in their respective journals.
